Who is Kevin Lundgaard?

Kevin Lundgaard founded MF Consult to be the fuel partner every buyer deserves. He has sat in the purchasing seat for the fleets of large, complex offshore projects and knows the challenges buyers face, from tight credit lines to schedules that change overnight.

Trained in ship agency and shipping logistics, he has coordinated port calls, heavy-lift projects, crew changes and customs clearance, and has worked on board a wide range of vessels. He has traded bunkers in Singapore, Fujairah and ARA, and solved specifications outside the ISO standard.

We cover a broad field, from offshore megaprojects to superyachts, and bring a deep knowledge of shipping to every delivery. Shipping runs around the clock, and so does our desk.

Project bunkering

A bunker operation built from scratch

For one of the world’s largest oil and gas projects, we built the bunkering function from scratch: supplier screening, compliance checks, tenders, risk assessments and approved transfer equipment. We supplied module carriers, tugs and barges across four regions, from inland waterways to the open sea. The work received an award for cost optimisation.

Project cargo & energy

Full fuel management for heavy-lift voyages

On ongoing heavy-lift projects in the energy sector, we handle all fuel purchasing and coordination for a fleet of heavy-lift carriers, tugs and barges. We talk directly with the masters, choose the right ports, make sure every delivery meets the right specification and extend credit to our client.

The vessels carry cargo with large overhangs, so we review every stowage plan and 3D drawing before each operation and plan the approach with the supply barges. These are some of the most complex and least conventional ship-to-ship transfers in the industry.

We also supply a heavy-lift vessel that carries wind turbine components for one of the leading offshore wind manufacturers.

Superyachts

Discreet supply, wherever they sail

We supply a select group of yacht owners, including ice-class expedition yachts that sail worldwide. One example: 1,000 mt of gasoil to one of the world’s largest motor yachts in Dubai, ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Trading & planning

Price, credit and position in one hand

We trade in Singapore, Fujairah, ARA and beyond, find the best bunkering port for each voyage and handle credit assessment in house. Non-standard specifications are solved, not refused.
